Presented by Minnesota Members of the
Got Stories?
"Saving Lives One Story at a Time!"
Hella Buchheim
Hella Buchheim started Personal Histories in 1999 to give voice to people
who had a story to tell. Personal Histories works with people who want to
write their own stories, even help those who feel they are not good writers
or those who don’t know where to start.

Hella uses her journalism training, natural curiosity and life coaching skills
to ask poignant questions and delve beyond the photo memories. The stories
that she assists in creating reveal the real depth of a person’s life.  Her customers,
who felt their lives were ordinary discover through the process how rich and
meaningful their lives have really been.

Her enthusiasm and knowledge of life story writing is revealed each month in
her monthly newsletter. The topics are diverse as they are varied but all are
designed to help the readers find a topic they can write about to help them
complete their stories in their own time. She frequently holds workshops,
writing seminars and one-on-one coaching sessions to help people stay
motivated throughout the writing project.
