Presented by Minnesota Members of the
Linda Coffin has been making speeches since she gave her first cooking demonstration for
international church conferences in the United States, Africa and South America, political
gatherings in Washington, DC, and community events in the Twin Cities. Over the years,
she has taught classes on starting a small business, setting up a graphic design business,
using word processing software, and researching your family history. At last count, she has
visited or lived in 29 countries in Europe, Africa, and North and South America.

While helping her elderly parents clear out their long-time home, Linda became
particularly interested in helping families organize and record the histories of their
heirlooms. As a result, she has shifted the focus of her professional graphic design work
into producing family, personal, and community histories, and has set up a business
venture called HistoryCrafters. With her long experience in writing, editing, photography,
and graphic design, Linda is eager to help people craft their stories into printed forms that
can be shared with others.

Linda is a member of the Minnesota Historical Society and several county historical
societies, the Association of Personal Historians, the International Society of Family
History Writers and Editors, Inc., the National Genealogical Society (and several state
genealogical societies), and Minnesota Women in Marketing and Communications. Linda is
writing a history of Quakers in Minnesota which she hopes to publish next year.
